ECM Personal Information Protection Policy
ECM shall protect our customer’s personal information according to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. ECM shall acquire customer’s personal information only for the following purposes, and shall not use for any other purposes:
to perform handlings of cargo transportation and any other services incidental to the transportation that customer ordered to us, and to administer matters associated with such services;
to make customer trend analysis on ECM services or research analysis on product developments;
to send customers information (DM or Email, etc) on ECM services or sales promotions;
to respond to customers’ queries; and/or
to make necessary communication to customer in relation to handlings of cargo transportation and other incidental services.
Under its own management and responsibility, ECM may use, jointly with any other ECM group company, personal data acquired from customers (such as name, address, sex, date of birth, phone number, fax number, email address, information on a Waybill and/or customs clearance documents, etc), however, ECM shall not provide them to any other third parties.
Customer may make request to ECM to disclose his/her personal data retained by ECM, by contacting in writing to the address mentioned below. We may charge 5000 JP yen (including consumption tax) per request, as the administration fee for such disclosure. We will make best effort to reply to such request within a month, however, customer is advised to allow any delay depending on the circumstances of such request.
